Pink Shirt Day

Mme. Penney and Mme. Charron’s JK/SK class participated in Pink Shirt Day. Pink shirts are worn on this day as a pledge that bullying will not be tolerated.

The Eco-Explorations class visited a logging operation and saw how trees get cut, piled, and delimbed. They had their annual Eco Olympics challenge and handed out medals to everyone. After releasing their 6000 Brook Trout into Tailleurs Lake, they took to ice fishing with the Grade 2 French Immersion class and visited the Fish Culture Station in Englehart where the Brook Trout eggs came from.

Subtraction Fun

Mme. Caza and Mme. Gignac's students are learning about this math concept through hands on activities!

Learning About the Moon

Recently, the grade 6/7 FI students enjoyed making edible models of the phases of the moon using Oreo cookies!

Reading Friends

Mme. Blouin’s class came to read stories with Mme. Penney and Mme. Charron's Kindergarten class!

March Fun Day!

Grades K-8 participated in fun activities just prior to the March Break. K-3 did fun physical activities outside while the 4-6’s did St. Patrick Day team challenges. Gr. 7 and 8 had a bonfire outside and had a fun game of Capture the Flag. What a great day!

Student vs. Teacher Volleyball Game

The students always enjoy challenging the teachers to a game of volleyball. This particular game was very competitive and close!! Great job students!

Gr. 5/6 Basketball Tournament

Recently, our Gr. 5/6 Boys' Basketball team hosted a tournament at our school and welcomed teams from the surrounding area. Despite a slow start, the team ended up with 4 wins and 2 losses and became increasingly comfortable on the court! The team is looking forward to an upcoming tournament in Iroquois Falls.

100th Day of School Celebration

We recently celebrated the 100th day of school with many fun activities! Some classes imagined what it would be like to be 100 years old. Others counted to 100 in different ways. Still others, displayed projects they made at home with the "100" theme. Another successful day!

Olympic Mania

Even Kindergartners enjoy following the Olympics! Mme. Penney and Mme. Charron enjoy incorporating real events into their classrooms and see it as an opportunity to introduce new vocabulary in a context that students can use at home as well as school.

St. Patrick's Day!

These students are getting lucky learning about coins at the Water table!
