Whats happening in our classrooms?

6th grade

History-Studying the Holocaust and beginning the Cold War

Science- Studying the Earth, sun, moon, systems and Plate techtonics.

Math- ACAP and review and statistics

English- ACAP review and practice and begin Reading Holes by Louis Sachar

Reading-ACAP review continuing/finishing our journey thru

7th Grade

Geography-Beginning North america

Science- ACAP review and exploring body systems

Regular math-Working on volume

Accelerated math-Graphing and writing linear equations

English-Finishing The Hobbit, then reviewing for ACAP

Computer Science- Drone Competition, Continue learning to code robots.

8th Grade

Regular math-Finding volume of cylinders sphere, and cones

Accelerated Math-Simplifying Radicals

History- Pre-Columbian Americans, Middle ages

English-Finishing up DGP Flocab- SAT/ACT practice, and starting the book "Thank you M'am

Science-Students will be reviewing 8th grade standards preparing for ACAP testing.

Career Prep- Computer Programming Raspberry Pi, circuits, and sensors

Good Hope Softball

Congrats to our Lady Raiders Softball team as their season continues! They placed 3rd in the county tournament and still have a few regular season games and area and regionals coming up in May.

Good Hope Middle School Baseball

The MS baseball team's season has come to an end after an exceptional season with 23 wins and only 3 losses. Congrats to this great group of young men and we can't wait to see what they will accomplish in the future!

Good Hope Archery Team

Congrats to the Archery Team they placed 1st in the Bulldog bash, 3rd at regionals, and 10th at state with a school record for their score. The Archery Team will be competing in the National Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky on May 13th. Good Luck and Go Raiders!

Good Hope Track Team

Congrats to the girls Track Team for winning the county championship track meet! Track season is still going strong as they are preparing for the Sectional Tournament on April 29th & 30th. Special congrats to middle school athletes for placing in the top ten in individual and team events including: Cadance Watson placing 1st in 100m, 300m, and high jump; Sammie Johns 6th in 400m; Eden Clements 6th in Discus, 9th in Shot Put; Aubrey Scott 8th in 1600/mile; and Katie Parrish 10th in 200m.

The Raider band is having try outs for Auxilary. You can come and try out for color guard or majorette. You wont regret it!!!

The 8th grade attended a field trip to the World of Works at Wallace State to explore career field options for the future. Check out the fun activities they got to experience below!
