EASTER SCIENCE PROJECT
We will be having a school-wide Science Week when we return after the Easter holidays. In preparation for this, we are inviting all of the children to become inventors! We would like all of the children to complete a design of an invention and also provide some details to explain it. Please bring in your design when we return after the holidays.
Your child should receive a worksheet from their teacher to showcase their designs. Please click the button below for a printable copy if it gets mislaid.

SUSTRANS WALK & WHEEL
Well done to everyone who has made active journeys by walking, cycling or scooting to school this week - can we do even better next week?
Well done to classes 1H, 3B, 4P, 4M, 5L, 6A and 6C who have made the most active journeys this week with a daily average of over 50% of the class. A big congratulations to 3B who have topped the league table this week with 68%!
Getting active on the school run is a great way to build physical activity in children’s daily routine which is important for their physical health and mental wellbeing. It also helps to reduce congestion and air pollution outside the school gate, so it is a great idea all round!

WELL DONE YEAR 4
A very well done to Year 4 this week for transporting us all to Rome with their two fantastic performances of 'The Emperor's Visit'. We hope all the parents and carers enjoyed it too; thank you all for coming!

PRELOVED UNIFORM & CLOTHING EVENT
On Monday 27th March we will once again be holding our monthly preloved uniform and clothing event. Please come along to the studio at the back of the West Hall after school to see if there are any items you can make use of and take them away for free.

LIBRARY GARDEN
One of our pupils has had a lovely idea to create a space in the library garden for reflection following the sad passing of a beloved family pet. They have suggested that it might be nice for pupils to be able to plant a small flower, put out bird food or hang a sun catcher in memory of a loved one.
The library garden is currently looking very smart and tidy but a little on the bare side. We would welcome any donations of small plants (lavenders, herbs, butterfly bush etc), bags of compost and tubs to put them in. You may be having a sort out in your own garden as the weather is improving and may find you have items you no longer need. Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

BIKE & SCOOTER PARKING
Do you bring a bike or scooter to school? Please ensure you place this safely away from the driveways. We have had a number of incident where delivery drivers have had difficulty due to scooters and bikes blocking the side of the drive, particularly the East drive. Thank you for your help with this.

RED NOSE DAY
Red Nose Day last week was lots of fun for everyone. There were some fantastic performances across the school in the talent competitions.
Thank you to everyone who donated to either Comic Relief (£63 raised) or the Save the Children earthquake appeal (£109.50 raised). With the rising cost of living at the moment your generosity is even more appreciated.
The online page is still open currently to donate directly to Comic Relief if you wish to. Just click the button below:
