School PE Kit

Dear parents/carers,

We have been considering for some time how to improve our PE kit; this has been particularly brought into focus this year as the children are spending all day in their kit on their PE days. This has been a project that the School Council have been working on this year.

With this in mind, we want to ensure that when the children are dressed for PE they are wearing clothing suitable for participating in a range of sports, whilst still looking smart and ready for learning. In addition we would like to retain that sense of school community that is present when the children are in uniform. We also want the children to feel they can wear their school colours proudly when representing Parkside at inter-school events.

We have made it a priority to ensure that our PE kit is accessible for all families, therefore there are options available. For PE days from September, children need to come to school wearing the following:

• Navy plain sweatshirt (round neck)
• Navy or black joggers
• Navy or black shorts
• Plain white or navy t-shirt (without collar)

Or alternatively there is now also the option of Parkside branded items, as chosen by the School Council.

• Parkside tracksuit top
• Parkside tracksuit bottoms
• Parkside sports shirt in navy or white
