Think of this as an album cover for yourself, but one that isn't just for music. So, let's start by thinking about your gifts and talents. What are you quite good at?
Next, let's figure out how you can take an amazing photograph of yourself for your album cover / poster / memoir. This photo can be taken by another person, but you should set it up and it should showcase what you're good at--there should be clear evidence of both you and what you do well in this single image.
Lastly, write down at least three things that you'd like to put on the album cover / poster / memoir. I would suggest your name or your stage name, an album title or an event name where people can see you perform your skill, and a date for when this particular album comes out or when the event happens. That said, I'm open to other details you might want on your particular design. Regardless, I'll check to see that you have your photo, three details, and ten thumbnail sketches when you come to class on May 27 / 28. We'll work together and finish the project in just two weeks, so it'll be a fast one!
Inspiration from Billboard Hits, YouTube's 50 Best Album Covers, Stefan Sagmeister & Jessica Walsh, and David Carson.
Project is due on June 9 at 3pm.
