The eLearning Team continues to assist faculty through the QM course development process for courses being taught online. For an overview of the course development process, visit our Development Process of Distance Education Courses page.
QM Review Change Proposal
QM's price increase for official reviews prompted DEITC to look for alternate ways to cover this additional expense. A proposal was presented and eventually approved to eliminate the internal review process from the QM course certification process. Information over this topic was sent on the last newsletter. This recommendation was then presented to Dr. Mitchell for his approval who supported it based on our rate of success certifying courses for the past 10 years.
QM Courses Certified
Since the last DEITC meeting in October 2021, there are 3 more courses that have been QM certified.
A virtual Designing Your Online Course (DYOC) QM workshop will be taking place on December 14 and 15, 2021. This is a two half-day session from 1:30 - 5:00 P.M. for any faculty that are developing a course for QM certification or for faculty that wish to learn more about the QM rubric as it goes more in-depth on the essential QM standards important for quality assurance in their online course(s).
