BIENVENIDOS // WELCOME

Hi! My name is Jaylen Barkley. I am a senior Spanish and International Health major at Clemson University. Through my journey as a student at Clemson I have been awarded many experiences from joining my sorority to studying abroad. Each of which have given me knowledge and a perspective like no other. Through this website I hope to give you all the chance to experience things with me!

About Me

I am a Senior Spanish and International Health major at Clemson University. I am originally from a small town called York, South Carolina. I take great pride in being a woman of many hobbies, some of which include: binging Netflix shows, traveling, trying new restaurants and helping others. I have just finished my last semester of undergraduate studies abroad in Seville, Spain and will be graduating this Fall 2022. Upon graduation I look forward ro working as a Medical Assistant while furthering my education in graduate school. Ultimately, I hope to work in medicine: Pediatrics or Obstetrics and open my own facility.

My time as a Clemson student has adequately prepared me from the rigorous coursework to the immersive international internship abroad. I look forward to applying my knowledge as I advance in my career as a student and physician.

STUDY ABROAD

Since a child, I have always had a passion for travel but after studying abroad for a semester I have a new perspective. Travel used to simply be for leisure, now, I want to make the most of every journey I take. In the future I will used my Spanish ability to work as a Pediatric physician in underserved Spanish-speaking populations abroad.
