JUST A NOTE...

MAy Mindset

“Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.”-Edward Everett Hale

We are in the last month of the school year and the mantra is to finish strong. What I mean by “finishing strong” simply is about our commitment to working together until the very end for our children. Nothing about this year has been regular and it has revealed what we are all made of. How we respond to challenges define us and what we are willing to do to overcome solidifies our character. As a family we have ups and downs but at the end of the day we should never “fall out” even when we fall down. Throughout the year I have stated the importance for all of us to do our part in the development of our children. I have repeated this statement because of the critical importance of this commitment. I have seen the reward of operating as a school community and know that what we truly want for our children is possible. It is within reach.

Although school is ending, the work toward a better year has begun. Last month, we met to discuss an area of growth and received insight from parents during the Stakeholders’ Meeting that will have a positive impact on how we approach work beyond the school day. School leaders will be meeting to discuss how we will work to engage students and balance the use of technology. We will talk about accountability, communication and academic expectations. We will approach the work thinking about innovation and relevance and we will commit to a reasonable approach to sustaining excellence. How we do what we do has and always will matter to us because the stakes are exponential.
