Content Info For The Week

Math (Swindell, Beasley, and Meeks):

We will finish up the different ways of writing slope intercept form this week. We will use graphs, points, and equations of linear functions to convert into slope intercept form.

Algebra I (Meeks):

We will test over exponential functions on Wednesday. After our assessment, we will move into our quadratic unit.

ELA (Styron and Barker):

This week students will analyze how a particular scene develops the plot in a story, analyze how a particular scene and character choices help develop the plot in a story, use clues in the text as a strategy to determine the meaning of words and phrases, and use active reading, viewing, and listening as they continue working through their individualized and differentiated app segments and continue reading their selected novels.

ELA (Lee):

This week in Mrs. Lee's class, students will finish reading their in-class novel Hidden Figures. We will finish up our novel unit with an informational essay, which we will begin after returning from break next week. The date for our Unit 3 assessment is TBD.

9th Grade Lit (Lee):

This week in Mrs. Lee's class, students will type and submit their DBQ essay for Unit 2. Essays will be submitted to TurnItIn on Tuesday. Students will have their Unit 2 assessment on Friday, February 17th. We will complete test retakes when we return from break next week.

Science (Carver and Lewis):

Students will explore how the electromagnetic spectrum works and how scientists use it to identify stars and planets. Students will also compare how sound and light travel through different mediums.

Social Studies (MacArthur and Lewis):

this week in Georgia Studies, students will be reviewing for their practice GMAS assessment on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Students will review their results, and remediateon Friday.
