Youth-Run Label Syryn Records Releases Compilation Album and Vinyl Pre-Order November 18, 2022
Female and gender-expansive artists and professionals are underrepresented in the music industry. Syryn Records is on a mission to change that! A program under Amplify Arts Project (formerly Girls Rock Santa Barbara), Syryn is a non profit youth-run record label that seeks to uplift marginalized voices. Our label departments are made up of aspiring young interns ages 15-22 years old and guided by industry professionals. Through the power of art and music, each cohort works together to envision and manage a label that puts female and gender-expansive artists at the forefront of their creative journey.
Syryn Records Vol. 1 is a diverse collection of original compositions, featuring 11 tracks by youth artists across the country. With genres spanning from powerful spoken word to neo-soul to melancholic lo-fi and everything in between, listeners are sure to find something that speaks them them! Every contribution towards this record release goes to the artists and back into supporting Syryn's mission to serve more youth!
On November 18, 2022, 12" vinyl records will be available for pre-order on Bandcamp! This limited edition item features beautiful front and back sleeve artwork created by our Syryn interns.
We also launched a digital collectible version as an NFT mixtape to benefit our artists and our program! We are excited to be taking advantage of this amazing new technology in the music industry to support our mission!
Lastly, Syryn Records would love to invite anyone in the Los Angeles area to our live showcase on December 3, 2022 at Junior High LA! Several artists from the compilation will be performing, and we'll have merchandise designed by our interns. Hope to connect with you there.
