The Strategy
According to baptism and evangelism numbers both nationally and locally, we need a new strategy to lead our convention in a way that both inspires and resources. More of the same is inadequate, and any new strategy must be taxed with creating a culture of evangelism which is reproducible both institutionally and in leadership. The goal is to begin a cyclical pattern of evangelistic focus that can multiply as that evangelism DNA is passed from generation to generation. That pattern will include Evangelism Change, Challenge and Cheer
Evangelism Change
The first phase is the leader focusing on heart renewal that turns evangelistic efforts from programmatic efforts to passionate pursuits. Even current programs can have exponential impact if the leader is impacted deeply. As the famed British Evangelist Gipsy Smith used to preach, draw a circle on the floor and kneel in it, then pray for revival to start in the circle.
Evangelism Challenge
The second phase of this new strategy is the implementation of evangelistic opportunities, or a challenge to produce evangelistically. This means that several of our current efforts need to be re-evaluated and/or discontinued to make room for new and effective pieces that fit this strategy. Conversely, several opportunities already afforded by the North American Mission Board can be utilized. But, even if there were resources or programs available, Mark Clifton reminds us, “We have the risen Christ and He is more than enough.”
Evangelism Cheer
The third phase of this strategy is the promotion of materials and celebration of leaders/ministries in the avenue of evangelism, baptism and revival. This element is key to the cyclical/generational aspiration of this strategy. The belief is that what gets celebrated gets repeated. An evangelistically disengaged leader/church can see the effectiveness of a resource, or the celebrated win of a faith community and be lead back to Evangelism Change. “The road to learning by precept is long, but by example short and effective,” Seneca the Elder, 54 BC - 39 AD.
Prayer Initiative
We can't make revival grow, but we can plow the ground! A personal commitment to renewal and growth in the leader is the beginning of the process.
Sign up to be a part of the renewal community praying and seeking personally to find their own heart renewal, while praying for the heart renewal of spiritual leaders:

A Prayer Gathering
We believe that prayer is effective! So, we would be reluctant if we did not pray for our leaders, churches and the move of God toward Heart Renewal, Revival and Evangelism.
In addition to the personal prayer calendar above, please consider gathering (whether in-person or online) with 2-4 others and commit to a 12-week prayer mission for pastoral leadership and revival in your/the church!
