End of Spring term

I can’t quite believe we are at the end of Spring term… only 1 term left together, where has the time gone?

We had a busy week and a few days in the run up to our Easter break, including a trip to The Rising Sun and an assembly with the whole school back together for the first time in 2 years!

We have all worked so hard this half term and deserved a well earned rest.

In class we were super busy finishing off our measuring unit in maths and we wrote some beautiful springtime inspired poems in English.

We looked at animals in their habitats in science and finished off our animal prints in Art.

We also continued our mantle story by planning our journey to Africa using the large maps and a compass. We are so excited to go and get the animals and bring them back to our zoo.

We also looked at looking after our bodies and how to prevent damaging our skin and teeth.

Our trip to The Rising Sun was amazing. We got to go pond dipping to look for the creatures that live in the pond, then we made our own pond and made creatures to go inside. Then after lunch we went down into the woods to look for mini beasts in their micro habitats. We also made some big hotels for the mini eats to live in and finished of by making our own woodland picture.

We then ended the week with some lovely Easter activities …
