Girls Not Brides was founded in 2011 by The Elders, an international NGO consisting of global leaders working for peace, justice, and human rights.

150 million girls will be married off before the age of 18 in the next decade. That's an average of 15 million girls annually.
VISION: Along with more than 1,500 organizations in over 100 countries, the goal of Girls Not Brides is to end child marriage around the world and for ALL girls to fulfill their full potential.
