From Mon. Nov. 28-Mon. Dec. 12, the 4th grade Junior Scouts will be collecting donations to support Amy's Art Cart, an art supply/hobby wagon at Children's Hospital. Items from the cart are delivered to child patients to help brighten their day. Donations will be collected in a large bin outside Ms. Rice's office starting Mon. Nov. 28.

We are collecting:

All donated items should be: new, unused, and unopened, non-toxic, BPA & Latex free, nondenominational, and nonviolent (i.e. do not depict guns, warfare, etc.) For more information on Amy's Art Cart at Children's Hospital, please view this short local news clip: https://www.chnola.org/news-blog/2018/october/amys-art-cart-helps-kids-be-kids/ Help us bring some artistic cheer to the Children's Hospital community! Ms. Clutter organized a school-wide flash mob dance for World Kindness Day!
2nd grade students shared a "Balloons Over Willow" parade with us! The office staff enjoyed the parade through the window, just as many people in NYC do when they watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade!
Students enjoyed the Book Fair with Ms. Hallinan. Students in Ms. Staes's homeroom found many appealing books.
A special turkey came to help with Thankful Thursday. Some things we were thankful for: sisters, football, teachers, Legos, kids, being off school, Ms. Mitchell's costume. Ms. Santos's and Ms. Sessum's 2nd graders showed us kindness tableaus, while her 4th grade TAT read kindness quotes. Then, the crowd showed kindness tableaus.
Family Math Night was a huge success! Thanks, Ms. Ruf!
Ms. Mitchell put some extra flair into our Thankful Thursday!
Third graders participated in a disguise the turkey project. Families were invited to participate in the activity. See if you can locate the turkey in each picture!
Third graders completed a dice roll multiplication collage turkey project. Each turkey was developed by completing multiplication problems. This is the reason for such creative and unique turkeys!
