Gen-N is a new campaign co-designed by young Nigerians that celebrates the BRAVE CHOICE to TAKE ACTION toward an HIV-negative generation. Everyone can be a Gen-N hero by supporting young people to access health services like HIV-testing and PrEP, celebrating youth-friendly healthcare workers, and listening to young people’s concerns without judgement.
What is Gen-N?
Gen-N is an Adolescent and Youth-focused brand that the Nigerian National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) has worked on developing together with young people. It builds on vast evidence about what works when motivating young people to access health services, and aims to foster a supportive social environment for young people to access HIV services.
Gen-N gives every Nigerian a chance to be a Hero whether you are:
- A young person making the brave choice to seek HIV services and actively do something to stay HIV-negative
- A Healthcare worker making the courageous choice to care for young people in your community
- A Parent, caregiver, or trusted adult standing by your child’s choice to stay HIV-negative
- A Partner, supporting your significant other to take care of themselves and protect your relationship
- A community or religious leader prioritizing health
