I hope you have enjoyed taking a peek at some of the babies I've "reborned", I have done memorial babies and "look alike babies. I put lots of hours into each one, and I enjoy every minute of it. These are a soft vinyl that I have painted with Genesis heat set paints, using several transparent layers for added realism. They are weighted with micro glass beads for a real baby feel, opened nostrils, magnetic pacifiers & for those with hair, it has been micro rooted with needles placing about two hairs at a time, then sealed.
Average costs of the reborning process
- Blank kits- range from around $35-$150 & up
- Paints/magnets ,eyes & other supplies needed to create each one $10-$20
- Doe suede body $15-$20 for each doll kit
- Outfits/pacifiers/blankets/ diapers & other accessories that comes with reborn sales $30-$50
- Weighing materials for each-$16
- Hair for each doll $20-$60
- If shipped, $30-$60 depending on how far and weight of box
Total cost out of pocket ranges from $190 lower end up to $300 higher end
This does not include gas money, electricity used or online shipping for supplies
