2022: In Review

As 2022 comes to a close, we reflect on some of the most defining moments for Javelina Nation this past year, while excitedly looking forward to the New Year. We send our Javelina Alumni Family warmest wishes to you and yours during the holidays!

As a reminder, our offices will be closed beginning at 12:00p.m. on December 23rd until our return on Monday, January 2nd.

Texas A&M-Kingsville ranked in the Top 10 Best Public Universities by Alumni Starting Salary in PayScale’s College Salary Report.

The university partnered with the Coastal Bend Food Bank and opened the Javelina Care Closet in September. This important resource has provided Javelina students in need with food, hygiene products, professional clothing and other essentials.

Dr. Robert Vela - a three-time alumnus of Texas A&M University-Kingsville - is inaugurated as the university's 22nd President.

Winter Commencement

A total of 576 Texas A&M University-Kingsville students crossed the stage Friday, Dec. 9, during two Winter Commencement ceremonies held at the Steinke Physical Education Center. Congratulations to our newest graduates, and welcome to the proud family of Javelina Alumni!

School of Music Students Bring Holiday Cheer

Despite the warm South Texas weather, students from the Texas A&M University-Kingsville School of Music brought the holiday cheer with their annual caroling around campus.

McNair Scholars Student Honored for Presentation

Texas A&M University-Kingsville senior and McNair Scholars Program member Brissa Acevedo was recently honored for her presentation at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists in Anaheim, California!

Hogs Compete in Heritage Bowl

The Javelina Football team wrapped up their season in Corsicana, Texas, where they competed in the Fun Town RV Heritage Bowl on Dec. 3rd!

Calling All Javelina Engineers

The Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering is asking for Javelina Engineering alumni to participate in a survey, found at the link below.

Engineering Hall of Fame Nominations Now Open

The Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering is seeking nominations for the Engineering Hall of Fame, as well as nominations for a new category of recognition - Outstanding Young Alumnus/Alumna.

If you know of somebody deserving of this recognition, please access the nomination form at the link below.

The deadline for nominations is January 5, 2023.
