Alcinous

Alcinous let Odysseus use some of his ships for Odysseus and his men to travel back to Troy.

Odysseus

Odysseus is a brave man that got up not only himself, but many other men lost at sea because of his curiosity.

Cyclops

(Polyphemus) Cyclops are giants people with only one eye. They also are fearless of others and eats whatever is in their way.

Zues

Zues is the son of Poseidon. He like to get his way and if he doesn't, he does something about it. 

Lotus-Eaters

One of the stops they made were at the land of the Lotus Eaters. The men ended up disobeying Odysseus and getting drunk and not wanting to leave to go home

Cicones

Cicones were an army that rode on horse back.

Poseidon

Poseidon is Zeus' father. He is God of the land.

Aeolus

Aeolus was the God of wind. He blew the men off course. 

Laestrygonians

They were cannibals that destroyed all the ships except the one he was sailing on.

Circe

Circe is the one who turned half of his men into pigs.

Tiresias

Tiresias meets Odysseus when he goes to the underworld. He shows him how to get back to Ithaca.

The Sirens

Odysseus plugs his men's ears with was and has them tie him to his ship. He hears their song flowing from the island, promising to reveal the future. Odysseus begs his men to release him, but they only ti him tighter. 

Charybdis and Scylla

They are both sea monsters that snatch 6 men overboard and eats them. 

Helios

The God of clouds and he cherishes cows and sheep. 

Lampetia

She told Zeus about Odysseus' men eating the cows and she told Zeus punish them.

Calypso

She held Odysseus and his men prisoners for 7 years.
