"Coming off the program's highest finish since 2013 and the most wins since the 2014 season; I believe our staff and players have done a great job and capitalized on that momentum with another great recruiting class in 2023. Our process is deliberately slow and thorough so we can continue to yield the best high school football players that are the right fit for PLU and the championship football program we are working to build,"
-Head Coach Brant McAdams
Running Backs
“Both of the additions to the RB room are coming from state contending football programs in their states of Washington and Hawaii. We expect these two to step into the RB room and compete right away.”
Richie Fotualii-Aliifua
Federal Way, Wash. / Eastside Catholic HS
"Richie is a big physical back. Coming from one of the best HS programs in the state of Washington, Richie instantly caught our eye when we saw him pounding the rock. We love to run the Football here at PLU and believe Richie is going to be a big part of our backfield going forward."
Braeden Togafau
Waipahu, Hawaii / Waipahu HS
"Braeden is a smooth runner. Does a great job of being patient and setting up his blocks. He’s thick and strong. Braeden’s work ethic was evident throughout the recruiting process. This guy is hungry to come in and compete and we are fired up to have him in our backfield."
Tight Ends
“The most prominent PLU offenses throughout our history have always had a Tight End that adds a championship dimension to the offense. This TE class stacked behind last year’s group will make this the most exciting position battle to watch for in 2023 and beyond.”
Henry Masters
Portland, Ore. / Tigard HS
"We are fired up to have Henry in the TE room. This guy was a force at Tigard HS down in Oregon. He’s got a great frame. He can run and block. One thing we loved about Henry was his attitude and personality. You can tell he loves football and is eager to be great. He will fit in well with our culture here at PLU."
Jake Wood
Eatonville, Wash. / Eatonville HS
"Another local guy helping us continue the Eatonville pipeline. Jake unfortunately had his senior season cut short due to an injury, but he has been relentlessly working to to come back. Jake has versatility to play wing, fullback, and put his hand in the ground on the LOS. He’s big and strong and is going to have a great career here at PLU."
Fullbacks
“Championship teams find a way to establish the run and the PLU offense has elevated it’s physical run play behind an almost 5-year starter at Fullback. Each year we will look for one player who can come in and make a push to keep the FB position relevant in our offense and today’s game. We’re excited to see Randy step up to that challenge.”
Randall Marti
Rochester, Wash. / Tenino HS
"Randall is a football player! Tough and runs hard. Another guy not too far down the road from PLU. One of the things we loved about Randall was just his willingness to do whatever is needed for the team. Our Fullback position are the guys that are willing to do the dirty work for the offense. I know for a fact that Randall is going to come in and do just that."
