SENIORS SHOW OFF THEIR CUSTOM CROWNS

"For my senior crown I wanted to do something inspired by school colors. I knew I wanted to do something with glitter so I got two crowns and put them together, the back was black with glitter and the main crown was red with the letters in gold and some gold gems," senior Melisa Ortiz said.
"My crown is music themed. Ever since freshman year I've been in chorus and I've been growing my passion for music. It's something I've kept close to my heart always so I wanted to reflect that love for music," senior Denise Cuevas said.

"My inspiration behind my crown was basically my love for theater! I didn't put much on the crown but I feel like some simple theater masks is all it really needs for me. The meaning of my crown is what I've loved now, forever and always," senior Lia Sanchez said (pictured left). Beside her, Jefrany D'Catry explains that "my inspiration behind the crown comes from my passion for film, cinematography, and photography. I decided to make the border of my crown a roll of film to signify this. I also chose to include my friends because they're a big part of my life. The meaning of my crown us to represent my life goals and what I love."
"I was inspired to make a solar system crown because in my previous high school years I had never seen anyone with a science themed crown. Science is my favorite subject in school and I like to find ways to portray my interests through my accessories. I thought it was important for girls to know that they can do anything they want their crowns and not limited to a traditionally feminine design," senior Lia Sanchez said.
