--- Paris Peace Forum --- 2022 Selected Projects SOCIAL MEDIA KIT

At its annual event and throughout the year, the Paris Peace Forum showcases and accelerates governance projects or initiatives that propose specific solutions to global challenges. Each year, the Forum provides these projects with customized support by connecting project leaders with decision-makers, practitioners, and funders.

Since 2018, over 400 projects have been featured, of which ten annually receive one year of customized support via the Forum’s Scale-up program. These projects have achieved significant results and are characterized by their international and multi-stakeholder dimension and the ability to bring about lasting change within global governance.

PREVIEWING THE 5TH EDITION

Riding out the multicrisis

The world is going through compounded and multifold crises, from worsening climate change, successive Covid-19 waves, deepening inequalities to new and lasting conflicts of global consequences. The stakes could not be higher.

The fight against global warming, the race to reach the SDGs, efforts to strenghthen health systems, economic cooperation, as well as the common custody of global public goods had already taken a serious hit during the pandemic. Since Russia’s attack of Ukraine, much of the world has also been affected by the fallout of the conflict and the overall instability it brought about, from a new dramatic humanitarian crisis to surging inflation and energy prices, increasing food insecurity worldwide, and the resulting economic and political disruptions.

Set to take place at the end of a tumultuous year, the 5th edition of the Paris Peace Forum will focus on Riding out the multicrisis and preventing a destructive world polarization that would jeopardize collective efforts. On 11 - 12 November 2022, we will explore how to mitigate the multiple shocks by fostering a renewed cooperative world order and multilateralism. By launching transnational solutions, initiatives and debates, the Forum will show examples of resolve, resilience and solidarity from stakeholders of the North and South to address today’s most pressing issues in the midst of a volatile and fast-changing context.

A 5th edition centered around today’s major challenges

Taking into account the far-reaching and combined effects of crises across the world on people and global cooperation, the program will focus on “Riding out the multicrisis”, with special emphasis on the 6 following priorities:
