Catching Snowflakes A Newsletter from your GPPSS School Psychologists & Social Workers

"No Snowflake ever falls in the wrong place" - Zen Proverb

Dear GPPSS Family,

As I write this introduction to our sixth newsletter on behalf our our Mental Health Team I can't help but to reflect on the past year. We created these newsletters as a way to share our knowledge with our community during the early months of this pandemic and since then we have had a steady stream of topics to cover. Looking back, I realized that one thing that you might not know is that most of our topics are inspired by common questions that we get from families throughout the district!

This month, our topics include: Separation & School Anxiety, Why Kids Behave Differently at Home vs. School, Dyslexia, ADHD, and LGBTQIA+.

Our team hopes that when you find a topic to explore our newsletters you will remember that you are not alone in your questions. If you find yourself with other wonderings about a topic that we haven't covered yet, always remember that you can reach out to your school's mental health professionals for resources, we are only a phone call or an email away!

Sincerely, The GPPSS School Psychologists & Social Workers

P.S. Don't forget that you can re-visit our previous newsletters at any time!
