2016 Wolfpack Gymnastics Camp

It's that time of the year again when campers fill Carmichael Gymnasium and members of the NC State gymnastics team help out at the annual Wolfpack gymnastics camp. As there are two weeks of camp in June and two in July, hundreds of youngsters gather to learn from and spend time with their favorite collegiate gymnasts.

Select members of the gymnastics squad are not only coaches but also camp counselors, meaning they stay overnight with the campers. This gives the campers a chance to connect with their favorite collegiate gymnasts not only in the gym but on a personal level through crafts and movies.

In return from the Pack giving time to these youngsters, several campers come to Reynolds Coliseum during the season to support their favorite gymnastics team.

"Working with these girls at camp is a great experience for everyone. As coaches you get to learn about where the girls come from and teach them the sport you love. I can't wait to see some of these girls at our meets this year in Reynolds, and it's inspiring to me because they look up to met and it makes me want to work harder and do better for them." -Nicole Wild
"I love teaching and working with kids, so being in an atmosphere full of kids that vary in age is really fun. They look up to us and try to incorporate us in everything they do here. It's rewarding when they come in with the goal to learn something and you help them to acheive it." -Mackenzie Itcush
"I've coached gymnastics for several years during my summers, and being able to coach at the place where I practice in a fun and exciting atmosphere makes the camps that much more enjoyable. It's great to watch them enjoy the sport you love and help them progress." -Hannah Sobhan
