Our Mission:
To guide people into growing union with Christ
Pastor Garrett's Report
At first glance, it may seem like the predominant theme of the past few years has been change. Nevertheless, the deeper, more significant story of CLC continues to be the same – namely, the faithfulness of Christ to his church, no matter the circumstances in which she is found.
This year we will celebrate 60 years as a congregation, each of those years being a testament to the promise of Christ and the providence of God.
As we continue to take steps into the next chapter of CLC’s mission, I’d like to note two main things – our Vision Summit, and our Associate Pastor Call.
We are pleased to introduce the three people nominated to serve as members of the church Council: Jean Wims, Kathy Kinney, and Christian Parr. They each bring a love for Jesus, His church, and each of you to the team.

Worship Ministry
After many months of online and outdoor services, we returned to worship in the Sanctuary on March 7, 2021. We continue to offer online worship opportunities. Dana Schmidt took on the duties of Music Director for both the 8:30 and 10:00 services. Brett Bailey joined us as organist. We welcomed Joe Hill who, in addition to his role as Youth Director, is serving his Pastoral Internship at Christ Lutheran.
Community Life
We celebrated being able to be together again. Our Bible Studies and Small Groups began the year online but soon moved to in-person or hybrid meetings. Several new groups and studies began as part of the Wednesday Night Ministries. In the spring, we were came together for a church-wide picnic and in the summer we were finally able to honor Pastor Joe and Barbie Campeau with a long-delayed retirement party. During the year, there were retreats for the High Schoolers, Families, and women.
Outreach Ministry
Our dedication to outreach continued uninterrupted. At Thanksgiving, we collected boxes of food that were distributed to many families in our community and eleven local families received gifts at Christmas. CLC also offered an important service to many young foster teens by providing a study space with Wi Fi so they were able to stay in school during the shutdown.

Where We're Going
At the Vision Summit, Pastor Garrett explained to the congregation the plan for the next five years: to make sure we are providing paths aimed at growth instead of programs aimed solely at involvement. Every age and stage of life has its milestones, miseries, and moments of growth. We want to be intentional about how we cultivate faith at each step along the way.

We are in a sound financial position, with total assets of $675,489. Our mortgage debt is $1,772,588. In 2021, our actual income exceeded our budgeted income and our expenses were less than budgeted, resulting in a net gain of $26,981. We also received a second PPP loan of $97,847 in 2021 which we did not yet use. This loan and the one from 2020 were both forgiven, so we did not take on any additional debt.
