Chipmunk

Chipmunks are rodents that live in forests, open woodlands, and brushy areas in North America and Asia. Their are about 17 different species of chipmunks. Chipmunks hibernate during the cold winter months like December or October. These small mammals have a life span of about 2 to 3 years in the wild. Chipmunks dig extensive burrows witch can be over 11ft long. These often have more than one entrens and have extra chambers where they store their extensive winter food. Chipmunks only eat seeds, nuts, grains, and fruits. They also occasionally eat insects. Chipmunks are hunted by many animals, including weasels, hawks, snakes, foxes, and house cats
