We are proud of how we develop personalised learning experiences for every young person and not just a one fits all approach. Our students learn to be motivated and confident in the pathway they are travelling and as a result, leave The British School of Málaga as happy, aspirational, independent and successful individuals.

Estamos orgullosos de desarrollar experiencias de aprendizaje personalizadas para cada alumno en lugar de una enseñanza genérica para todos. Como resultado de ello, nuestros alumnos se motivan y adquieren confianza en sí mismos. Cuando se marchan del colegio son chicos con aspiraciones, independientes y capaces.

Our students will discover and develop new interests from the significant value we place on developing opportunities that offer a range of cultural, social and creative experiences. Showcasing - Open Morning Weeks

This year we will continue to open our school to our community and prospective families, so they too can see our school story and promises live in action. Like last year we will have Open Morning Weeks where prospective families are invited to meet the Leadership Team, have a tour of the school, and listen to a presentation about our school. Our Open Morning Weeks this year are:

Este año seguiremos abriendo el colegio a nuestra comunidad y las familias interesadas en apuntarse, para que puedan ver la historia del colegio y las promesas en acción. Como el año pasado, tendremos Semanas de Puertas Abiertas, a las que están invitadas las familias interesadas en inscribir a sus hijos en el colegio. Realizarán una visita del colegio y asistirán a una presentación. Las fechas son:

Should you know any family who might be interested in finding out more about our school please let them know about our Open weeks. We will again be operating the Refer a Friend scheme until 31st October. Should a parent at our school refer a friend and they enrol and start school before 31st October both the parent and new parent receive a discount of 500 Euros each on the school fees at the end of the academic year.

Si supieran de alguna familia que pudiera estar interesada, les rogamos que les informen de nuestras Jornadas de Puertas Abiertas. Tendremos en marcha el Plan "Refer a Friend" hasta el 31 de Octubre. Si una de nuestras familias recomienda el colegio a una nueva familia que realice una inscripción y comience en el colegio colegio antes del 31 de Octubre 2019, obtendrán (la familia recomendadora y la familia recomendada) un descuento de 500€ a final del curso académico.

Showcasing - Amazing Family Learning Mornings

Last year we had our first Amazing Family Learning mornings for our current families which were a great success. We plan to organise two such events this year in December and March. Families will be able to join their child in class and take part in activities, learning alongside them. Please take a note of the dates and we will share more information closer to the time.

El año pasado tuvimos nuestras primeras sesiones de "Amazing Family Learning" para nuestras familias. Fue todo un éxito y queremos organizar este evento de nuevo en Diciembre y en Marzo. Las familias podrán visitar a sus hijos en clase y participar en las actividades y el aprendizaje que tiene lugar. Tomen nota de las fechas y les iremos informando según se vaya acercando el momento.

Secondary Library Amnesty · Amnistía en la Biblioteca de Secundaria

Please, can we please ask you to have a good look in your homes and see if you have any Secondary library books. Please do not worry if you find any, we would like all students to return the books next weeks, please. Mrs Green is helping in the library and she would like to see lots of our books returned soon please.

Les rogamos que echen un vistazo en casa y comprueben si tienen algún libro de la Biblioteca de Secundaria. No se preocupen si encuentran alguno. Nos gustaría que se devuelvan todos en las próximas semanas. Mrs Green va a ayudar en la Biblioteca y le gustaría ver que van volviendo todos los que faltan.

Year 12 Ocio Aventura Trip

At the start of the academic year, the new Year 12 students set out on a three day trip to the multi-adventure camp Ocio Aventura, Cerro Gordo

A comienzos de curso, los nuevos alumnos de Year 12 estuvieron de escapada multiaventura en Ocio Aventura Cerro Gordo.

The students stayed at the centre and took part in a series of sports activities including: kayaking and rafting down the Rio Genil, paintball, abseiling and rock climbing. They also got a chance to try archery and paintball. These activities all took place in the rural areas surrounding the small town of Cuevas Bajas.

Los alumnos participaron en actividades deportivas del tipo kayak, rafting en Río Genil, paintball, rápel y escalada. Además pudieron probar a hacer tiro con arco y paintball. Estas actividades se desarrollaron en zonas rurales en los alrededores del pueblo de Cuevas Bajas.

It was an excellent experience which taught the students how to work with each other in groups, and helped them build a good team spirit. Overall they had a great time and are looking forward to more trips in the future.

Fue una experiencia excelente que enseñó a los alumnos a trabajar con los otros en grupos y les ayudó a crear un buen ambiente de grupo. En general, se lo pasaron muy bien y están deseando hacer otras excursiones.

New School Billboard

We are today proudly displaying our new billboard at the main entrance of the school! The structure has been improved and the panel replaced. We feel that it is important to welcome all our families and visitors so we hope that you like it. We would also like to thank one of our parents, José Alberto A from Copremosa Sur who has today installed a billboard just prior to the motorway exit at Limonar.

¡Estamos estrenando una valla nueva en la entrada principal del colegio! Se ha mejorado la estructura y se ha reemplazado el panel. Esperamos que os guste a todos, nos parece importante recibir bien a todas nuestras familias y visitas. Y, por supuesto, damos infinitas gracias a la gentileza de uno de nuestros padres, José Alberto A., de Copremosa Sur. Hoy mismo ha quedado también instalada una valla del colegio en la zona de El Limonar, antes de la salida a la autovía.

Hoy nuestro colegio aparece en el Diario Sur comentando el Brexit. El periódico contactó con nuestro colegio para recabar la opinión sobre las consecuencias de la salida de Reino Unido de la Unión Europea en el sector educativo. Les recomendamos su lectura, ya que tanto nuestra directora como nuestro Director Técnico, Raúl Rico, explican la fiabilidad de las homologaciones y la ventaja de tener una doble titulación en nuestro colegio.

Our school comments on Brexit

Our school has today featured in the Diario Sur commenting on the Brexit situation. The newspaper contacted us to ask what we thought the impact would be on education as a result of the UK leaving the European Union. We suggest that you read the article as our Technical Director, Raúl Rico also explains the validation system and the advantages of having both Spanish and English accreditation in our school.

After School Activities

From Monday 7th to Friday 11th October, students will be able to try, free of charge, the following activities: Spanish, Art, Funky, Chess, Rollerblading and Basketball. If you would like your children to participate in any of these activities, please send an email to d.fernandez@britishschoolmalaga.com with the name and year group of your children

Nos gustaría ofrecer jornadas de aulas abiertas durante la semana del 7 al 11 de Octubre para las actividades de Español, Pintura, Funky, Ajedrez, Patinaje y Baloncesto mixto.
