Band Spaghetti Dinner and concert by Chloe Jordan | Editor-In-Chief

The band spaghetti dinner is the biggest annual band fundraiser. It has been a tradition for years. They serve spaghetti with meat sauce, a breadstick, and a salad in the cafeteria lines to students and parents before they attend the holiday concert.

For those still hungry after their plate of spaghetti, the first lunch line was open with items from the bake sale sitting on top of the counter. There were brownies, cookies, cupcakes, rice krispie treats and more.
They sold a variety of baked goods, desserts, and canned sodas and La Croix for only $1 each. Pictured here is a chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting and a candy cane garnish.
They had a Christmas wreath silent auction that patrons could stop by on the sides of the auditorium before the concert and in between performances.
This was Jarrett Lipman's last concert as head director of band. Robert Lozano presented a speech of appreciation for Lipman, setting the stage before he walked out to get his bouquet of flowers and give all the directors hugs.
He conducted his very last piece, which he said was his favorite. Before he walked over to the band, and gave a brief goodbye speech.

Three different groups played - Symphonic Winds, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Band. The Symphonic Winds are made up of seventh and eighth period, which are band levels two and three. The Wind Ensemble is composed of bands one and 1.5. Students had to audition to be able to play for Jazz Band.

Patrick Cheney conducts eighth period. Other directors a part of the show include Julia Donnel, Robert Lozano, Jarrett Lipman, Alan Sharps, and Bethany Smith.

The Symphonic Winds performed "Hark the Herald Angels Sing," "Adeste Fideles," and "Polar Express." CTJ band alumni played alongside the Wind Ensemble.

Band members performed wearing all black outfits with spunky holiday apparel, such as Christmas hats, reindeer ears, and even wrapping Christmas lights around their instrument.
