Friendly Snowmen

Our kinders discussed proportions when creating this mixed media snowmen using crayons and paint.

Thiebaud Donuts

Students created a half dozen donuts inspired by the late pop artist Wayne Thiebaud. Kindergarten began with drawing in crayon and then painted over with vibrant colors for the icing. They look DELICIOUS!!!

Dalí Birds

Second grade created Dalí Birds inspired by the artist Salvador Dalí. Student began by drawing the bird and tracing it using black glue. After drying they used warm and cool colors to paint the bird and background.

3rd Grade

Cup of Joy

Third grade students drew 3D mugs and decorated the background, tables and mugs using crayons to create different patterns. To finish them up, they used tempera paints to fill in.

Pysanky Birds

Fourth grade pulled inspiration from Ukrainian pysanky eggs to help design patterned roosters and chickens. We used construction paper crayons to draw and added a splash of water color paints to create values.

Color Wheel Eye's

Fifth grade explored how to mix colors using only the primary colors yellow, red, and blue. Students then turned their color wheel into an eye shape and used construction paper to add lashes.
