SUNDAY MORNING 10.1.2017 - LOOK BACK AT IT

Clearwater Central Catholic scored three touchdowns in the first quarter vs. SPC before SPC could record a first down. The Marauders impressed with a 49-7 win. Sophomore RB Johnny Newton put on a show as usual finishing the game with 123 yards, two touchdowns on just four carries.
Anclote is now 3-2, 2-1 after rushing for 208 yards on 42 attempts, pulling off a 27-10 win over Wesley Chapel win in an important 5A-8 game.
Plant QB Jordan McCloud thew four touchdown passes to lead his team to a 36-0 district win over Sickles. The Plant defense allowed just 18 yards of offense versus Sickles in the first two quarters.
It wasn't a pretty sight for a few minutes at the Jefferson at Middleton game as a brawl broke out involving players from both teams and even spectators for the stands. Coaches and administrators from both schools jumped in, attempting to break up the activities. Officials determined that the game was suspended (3rd quarter). No way to the identify the guilty parties until the tape, is reviewed by the Florida High School Athletic Association. As it stands right now, Jefferson leads Middleton 17-3 with 4:11 remaining in the 3rd quarter.
Kathleen defeated Winter Haven as a last-second pass attempt came up short of the end zone to preserve a Kathleen’s 21-14 win over The Blue Devils Friday night (7A-7). Kathleen ball carriers Brendan Gant, Torean Sealey, Dominique Walker and Malik Williams combined for 284 rushing yards.

Spongers defeated the gladiators 14-8 on Thursday night. The teams combined for 32 penalties totaling 255 yards. Tarpon Springs scored two touchdowns in the first half which was just enough to hold of Gibbs.

River Ridge ATH Bryce Smith had a 36-yard TD and had two INTs, returning one interception for a 40 yard TD. River Ridge 60 - Fivay 0

Pinellas Park 31, St. Petersburg 14
Bradenton Manatee 69, Alonso 20 - Manatee RBs Keyon Fordham and Josh Booker, each had 100 plus rushing yards combining for 6 TDs. Alonso QB Gavin Denboer completed 15/28 passes for 158 yards and three touchdowns.
