Coronation
We hope you all enjoy the bank holiday coronation weekend. Today we shared some special coronation activities with the children. As part of this the Department for Culture Media and Sport commissioned a short film (approx. 10 minutes) for primary school-aged children explaining the history and significance of the Coronation. Please click here if you would like to watch it. All schools will also be receiving wildflower seeds as part of the coronation and for this reason we will be holding a special 'coronation' outdoor day on Friday 19th May. Children can wear red, white and blue clothes to school on this day.
Our brilliant musicians
Each week we are asking a child to play an instrument as the other children come into assembly. Today Madeline played a brilliant version of a Harry Potter song on the piano without making a single mistake! Last week we saw Becca play the saxophone and we have also had Eira playing the piano. The chance to perform a musical instrument in front of others takes real courage and so we would like to say a huge well done!
Magnificent Donations
Pine Martens' Class have been learning about Persuasive Letter writing. Maria used these new found skills, to write to Lowden Garden Centre. Maria persuaded them to donate some items for our Outdoor learning area. They very kindly gave her a Hedgehog House, Bug Hotel and Bird Feeder and some lovely plants and seeds. Well done Maria and thank you Lowden Garden Centre.

There are lots of opportunities to contribute to the fun day of stalls and activities on Saturday 20th May. FOMPS would love to hear from parents/caregivers new to the school. Just two hours of your time would be an invaluable contribution to the day.
