Young Voices - Monday 9th January

Young Voices Concert - Monday 9th January

We are very much looking forward to The Young Voices Concert, which will be held on the evening of Monday 9th January 2023.

Our choir coach will leave late morning, approximately 11.20am. Children need to take a packed lunch to eat when we arrive at the arena, a packed tea and some snacks for throughout the day. We are singing for almost eight hours, in a warm arena so children need plenty of drinks, 2 litres is desirable, as they will get very thirsty! There is no facility to fill up water bottles at the arena or access to buying more water. Please also ensure all food items are nut free.

For the performance, children are to wear their school trousers/skirt/school shoes with a white top (or Young Voices t-shirt if you bought/made one). Children need a suitable coat as we need to walk from the coach to the venue entrance. Children’s mobile phones or cameras are not allowed.

The concert ends at approximately 9.00pm and we anticipate being back in Isham at approximately 10:45pm, drop off is on the main road, by the bus stop. If there are any major delays, we will contact you via our school app once we are on the coach on our way back. If you have not yet downloaded our school app this is easy and free, open our website on your device and it is an option on the menu bar.

Please return the reply slips to confirm your emergency contact details, if another adult is to collect your child from the coach please ensure you have informed the school office by 9am on the day of the concert.

Contacting the office to report an absence...

Reporting your child's absence

Please do not email your child's teacher to report an absence. All absences need to be phoned to the school office which is open from 8.30am. We are looking into updating our system with a voicemail system if you ring in earlier! We'll keep you posted when we get this system in place.

Doctor's/Dentist Appointments

We are now required to see evidence of all medical appointments, this can be a text message, email or letter.

Lateness

If you are late dropping your child off to school, please make sure they are safely handed over onto the school premises - please do not leave them to walk down the road and through the gate unattended.
