What is IB Exhibition?
Welcome our Fifth Grade I.B. PYP Exhibition at High Point Elementary School! The I.B. Primary Years Exhibition is the culminating, collaborative experience in the final year of a student's time at High Point Elementary School. Students have explored, documented, and shared their understanding of an issue or opportunity of personal significance and developed a plan for an action to make an impact on our local, national, or global community.
This year at High Point, fifth-grade students focused on the central idea that Experiences and Perspectives Impact Social Change. This idea will be woven throughout students' projects, but no two projects present that idea in the same way. Our goal with the IB exhibition was to encourage students to think independently about ways that their passions could impact the world and create social change.
As teachers, we have enjoyed watching our students use the I.B. learner's profile traits (Balanced, Communicator, Inquirer, Knowledgeable, Open-Minded, Principled, Reflective, Risk Taker, and Thinker) in new and unexpected ways to assemble their projects, and we are beyond excited for their work to be shared with you all. Please take time to explore your own students' work and the work of their peers! We know you will be as proud and as impressed as we are!
