EXPOSITION
In the exposition Greg decides he needs a new journal. His mom bought him one and calls it his "diary" but Greg preferred "journal".
RISING ACTION
His brother decides to make fun of him for it. While getting made fun Rodrick also found Greg's old journal "diary" full of secrets. And uses it against Greg
CLIMAX
In the climax older brother Rodrick throws a party while there parents are out of town. He locks Greg in the basement and lets him out when it's over only to make him clean up the mess.
FALLING ACTION
Greg starts to figure out how much of a jerk Rodrick is being. Latter they were supposed to go to Rodricks concert and Greg need to record and decided not to.
RESOLUTION
As the result of not recording the performance Rodrick told all of the secrets in Greg's journal.
