welcome!
Young Life camping is recognized internationally as one of the most effective ways to reach middle school and high school kids with the message of God’s love. Located in the beautiful mountains of Northern Arizona, Lost Canyon carries out the mission’s more than 75-year tradition of communicating to adolescents in a natural setting, away from everyday distractions.
Christ’s love compels us to create a culture of Diversity, Equity and Belonging at Lost Canyon, so that we reflect the full breadth of the Kingdom of God and those we serve. A culture of belonging is a core value to ensure that Lost Canyon is a place where every person is welcomed, known, heard, respected and celebrated for the ways they uniquely reflect the image of God. This will be achieved through a posture of listening, learning, relationship, personal sacrifice and action.
We are committed to this in every effort from the planning of trips, the events at camp, the recruitment and training of our staff and volunteers, and how we serve one another. We are so excited to have you spend a week with us as a part of the Adult Guest Program! Many of our guests leave camp saying it was the best week of their life. We hope you will say the same!
Your week will be hosted by an individual or couple who, as staff or former guests, will describe the camp activities and ensure you are comfortable during your stay. There will also be organized times when you gather together as a group of adults and meet with the property staff and assigned team to learn what Young Life camping is all about. Our desire is that you get a taste of what Young Life is all about!
GENERAL INFORMATION
You should have received an email confirming the dates for your reservation as an Adult Guest as well as the name of your Adult Guest Host for the week of Camp. We are looking forward to your visit and are excited about the opportunity to share with you the experience of Young Life. We hope the days you spend at Lost Canyon will be memorable for you. If you came across this page a different way and are wanting to be an Adult Guest, you must first have a staff member fill out an Adult Guest Registration Form on your behalf (linked below). This will then go to the camp and the region for approval. You are not placed until you hear directly from the camp.
Since the Adult Guest Program is utilized extensively, we ask that you notify us immediately if you have a change in plans and cannot be with us during the dates shown above. If you need to cancel, please call the Lost Canyon office at 928.635.2900 or email sstrong@lc.younglife.org.
Each week we have a designated adult guest host(s) who will be at Lost Canyon for the whole week and will serve as a resource for you. They will be contacting you prior to your arrival at camp, but please feel free to contact them or the Lost Canyon office with any questions you may have. You can find a list of the Adult Guest Hosts below as well as a schedule of our Summer Camp Weeks for your reference.

Helpful Hints
Altitude
The elevation at Lost Canyon is approximately 7,000 feet above sea level. Most people have no problem adjusting to the altitude. Occasionally, some guests experience a mild headache and feel tired for the first 24 hours. The best thing to do is to drink plenty of water on your way to Lost Canyon and for the duration of your stay. Also, since we are closer to the sun, it is important to wear sunscreen, even if it is cloudy outside.
What to Bring
The attire at Lost Canyon is casual. Shorts, t-shirts, and sandals are fine. Most nights, even in the summer, are chilly. We would recommend you consider bringing a light jacket, sweater, or sweatshirt.
Other items that will be important to bring are:
- a hat
- sunglasses
- sunscreen
- a raincoat
- a swimsuit for the hot tub
- closed-toed shoes for participating in camp rides
Themed Dinners
Sometimes, the program team will put on a dinner or event that has a theme and it's fun to dress the part. Below you will find info to the themed meals/events this summer. THESE ARE SECRETS TO THE CAMPERS SO DON'T TALK ABOUT IT AROUND CAMP.
