Assessment August 15 - August 28, 2016

Reflection on Using Technology for Assessment: Using technology in my assessments was definitely a benefit to me in my classroom It gave me time to give feedback right away and let students know that I am reading their responses and I care enough to get to them right away to help them understand what went wrong and what broke down understanding or I was able to understand their way of understanding through explanation. Students liked the diverse ways I used technology. They made statements that they were glad I included google forms and quizziz as other ways to assess their learning because so many teachers were using kahoot and that they were getting bored with the same platform. The same was true for using nearpod, formative and peardeck at different times and not just using one option. Using technology changed my assessment of students in how quickly I was able to understand their thinking. I will be using digital exit tickets next to assess how the day has gone and where to begin my teaching for the next lesson.
