Dear Parents
There has been a remarkable climax of events as we approach the end of term 2 and look forward to celebrating the Thai New Year of Songkran. Across all the events it was wonderful to see the passion and pride of the students for their achievements and also the respect shown to each other as learning was shared and teamwork celebrated.
Last Week of Term - no ECAs
Just to remind you that in this last week of term. There are no ECAs and the buses will leave school at 3:30pm.
Snack Attack Charity Day
Thanks to the great support from parents and students, we are delighted to announce that the Snack Attack sales inspired by our Y7 students, together with the monies collected from the non uniform day, raised just over 50,000tb for the Thailand Unicef Earthquake Appeal https://unicef.or.th/en/donate/campaigns/syria-emergency
We are incredibly proud of our Y7 students who have worked tirelessly to collaborate in their teams to research, analyse and design their Snack ideas. In the recent weeks, they have then been promoting, pitching and presenting their ideas and in the final days, they needed to meet many deadlines to ensure their packaging and products were ready to sell. The results achieved on Friday were wonderful and every individual can feel delighted with their progress and the contributions they made in making this project come to life and inspiring the whole school. KS2 Art Exhibition
Children in KS2 classes proudly showed their parents around the exhibition of ‘Art from around the World’ all stunningly created by the children. The works featured pottery, textiles, 3-D models, graphic designs as well as paintings and sketches. Parents and visitors were in awe of the children’s imagination and skills.
TOK Exhibition
Congratulations to Y12 students, who held their Theory of Knowledge Exhibition last Thursday. The students put theory into practice as they eloquently discussed and disseminated knowledge regarding their personal choice of 3 objects and how these objects demonstrate the manifestation of knowledge in the real world. Thanks to Diego and Daniel for their efforts to support the TOK exhibition logistics, Mr. Jeremy for his guidance, and all parents, students and teachers who came to see the Y12 work.
Model united Nations
We extend our congratulations to Alex, Aim, Fiona, Leah, Matthew and Rada for their efforts last week at the ThaiMUN X conference. Every student spoke at their committee and took part in the creation of resolutions and POIs. It is noticeable how their public-speaking confidence has grown with each passing conference. They are developing into skilled diplomats, whose negotiation, analysis and debating abilities are really coming to the fore. A particular well done to Rada, who took part in her first ever MUN event, and to Leah, who was the first ever HHIS MUN chair.
Middle School Model United Nations
Our intrepid Year 8 and 9 delegates conducted themselves impeccably throughout this demanding MUN conference and it has been a real pleasure to watch their huge individual development over the past 48 hours.
All students approached the conference with determination and overcame considerable nerves to present speeches, ask and respond to POIs, draft amendments, craft resolutions, debate, negotiate and make directives. We had numerous speakers at the general assembly and all delegates made a personal contribution to their respective committees. This first Model United Nations has been a tremendous accomplishment for all HHIS students and I am truly proud of each of our representatives.

I’d like to give a special mention to two award winners from the HHIS delegation, who were given special recognition in their committees. Congratulations to Ben and Flo! It has been a rewarding experience for all students and look forward to seeing them take future steps in MUN. Mr David
U15s Fobisia Basketball Tournament- report from Austin (Y10)
The Under 15's FOBISIA Basketball Championship in Pattaya was an amazing experience for us. The highlight of the weekend was being able to come back against a team that had beaten us the day before. I think we were able to do this because of our strong defence and Mr Rick’s great coaching and strategic tactics. The other thing we all really enjoyed was getting to meet people from schools around the world. In our downtime between games we were able to play some half court basketball with a team from New Delhi.

Songkran Festival
I look forward to welcoming parents to our Songkran Festival on Wednesday April 5th. The Early Years and Primary celebrations will begin at 8:50am and the Secondary, will begin at 10:30am.

นิทรรศการศิลปะชั้น KS2
นักเรียนชั้น KS2 ภูมิใจนำเสนอผลงานของพวกเขาแก่ผู้ปกครองผ่านนิทรรศการ ‘Art from around the World’ โดยผลงานของเด็กๆ ทำให้เราประทับใจ ประกอบด้วยผลงานจากเครื่องปั้นดินเผา สิ่งทอ แบบจำลอง 3 มิติ การออกแบบกราฟฟิก รวมทั้งการระบายสีและสเก็ตภาพ ผู้ปกครองและผู้เยี่ยมชมต่างประทับใจในผลงานที่มีจินตนาการและทักษะของเด็กๆ

การแข่งขันบาสเกตบอล U15s Fobisia - รายงานจาก Austin (Y10)
การแข่งขันบาสเกตบอล U15 FOBISIA ณ พัทยา นั้นเป็นประสบการณ์ที่ยอดเยี่ยมมากสำหรับเรา จุดเด่นสำหรับสุดสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมา เราสามารถกลับมาแข่งขันร่วมกับทีมที่เราเคยชนะวันก่อน เราคิดว่าเราสามารถทำเช่นนี้ได้เพราะว่าเรามีความแข็งแรง Mr Rick เป็นผู้ฝึกสอนที่ยอดเยี่ยมและเต็มไปด้วยกลยุทธ์ต่างๆ มากมาย อีกสี่งหนึ่งที่พวกเราสนุกสนานมากคือการได้พบนักกีฬามากมายจากโรงเรียนทั่วโลก โดยในช่วงพักระหว่างเกม พวกเราสามารถเล่นบาสเกตบอลครึ่งสนามกับทีมจากเมืองนิวเดลี

เทศกาลสงกรานต์
เราตั้งตารอคอยต้อนรับผู้ปกครองสำหรับเทศกาลสงกรานต์ ในวันพุธที่ 5 เมษายน 2566 นักเรียนชั้นอนุบาลและประถมศึกษาจะเฉลิมฉลองเริ่มตั้งแต่เวลา 8:50 น. และนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษา จะเริ่มตั้งแต่เวลา 10.30 น.
วันหยุดโรงเรียน
