Johnston Community School Friday, 6th May

Croeso nol! Welcome back! Pupils have launched the Summer Term in style and what an exciting term of learning we have ahead of us! The diary is bursting with school trips and we look forward to our first term in two years without Covid-19 restrictions. It is on that note that I can confirm that we are aiming for our School Sports' Day on 20th June with a reserve date of June 21st, should the weather prove inclement on 20th. Foundation Phase sports will begin at 12:30 and will last approximately one hour. The Junior sports will begin at 13:30 and last until approximately 15:30.

Instagram to go live!

We are always attempting to improve our communication with parents and our ability to share the fantastic learning that our pupils have completed. We will continue to use Twitter as an established educational platform, but also introduce the use of Instagram. All posts will be duplicated. We will use our social media consent forms to begin using our account during the next few weeks. If you have any concerns about Instagram, please contact the school.

Information from Empathy Lab - Parent Survey

Hello! We are working with your child's school to help develop pupils' empathy skills both inside and outside the classroom.

We would very much appreicate it if you could answer the follow series of short questions to assist us in establishing what the impact of the project has been over time.

We will send you an identical survey in July 2023 to see if there has been any change in opinion over time.

Many thanks

The EmpathyLab Team

Well Done Harriet!

Harriet has been continuing to develop her horse riding skills and, during the holidays, she entered an eventing competition. Harriet jumped up to 50cm and won "Horse rider of the Month" and came fourth in her class!

A Liz Edgar of the future!

Win £30!

During the Summer Term each year, we ask parents to complete a survey on the progress which they feel the school is making. We appreciate honest, constructive feedback and we are willing to accept criticism if if supports us to move the school forwards and identify areas which need improving. We will compare the results with last year's to judge our progress in any areas of deficit. We appreciate the time taken to complete the form.

This link will be live for the next four weeks. We will select the winner by generating a random number and the winner will be contacted on the afternoon of 27th May.
