How do you hear sounds?

The human ear anatomy
1. Sound waves APPROACH the ear.
2. Vibrations in air pass through the ear canal to the ear drum.
3. Vibrations in ear drum pass to bones in the middle ear.
4. Vibrations in the middle ear pass to the cochlea.
5. Cochlea converts sound energy into electrical energy.
6. Electrical energy travels to the brain along auditary nerve and sound is heard.
