Meet the Aquinos Serving with Cru

Lives are changing everyday as people believe and follow Christ.

But did you know that out of the 7.75 billion people living in the world today, 41.6% or 3.23 billion people are yet to hear the Gospel?

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

We are Ronnie and Jenny Aquino

We met in the early 90s at a church in the Philippines where the Great Commission was passionately preached week after week.

After we got married, serving as full-time missionaries became our shared vision that we named our children Journey, Harvest, and River to keep us reminded and excited about missions.

That vision became a reality when Jenny joined Cru in 2015. Ronnie joined in 2019.

Cru is a caring community passionate about connecting people to Jesus Christ.

Formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ in the United States, Cru was founded in 1951 by Bill and Vonette Bright as a Gospel outreach to college students in the campus of UCLA.

Our purpose is helping to fulfill the Great Commission in the power of the Holy Spirit by winning people to faith in Jesus Christ, building them in their faith and sending them to win and build others.

We help the body of Christ to do evangelism and discipleship in a variety of creative ways.

We are committed to the centrality of the Cross, the truth of the Word, the power of the Holy Spirit and the global scope of the Great Commission.

Seven decades after our founding, Cru has grown beyond the college campuses to reaching millions of people for Christ through Jesus Film, Family Life, Cru Military, Athletes in Action, Global Media Outreach, and several other Cru ministries.

God gave Bill Bright a vision of the total fulfillment of the Great Commission throughout the world. We are only a part of God’s workforce to accomplish that vision, but we are passionate about playing our part and helping others play theirs.

But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God." Acts 20:24

Lord willing, with the help of our growing team of ministry partners, we can continue to serve in the following areas of ministries and expand our reach across the U.S., to our home country, the Philippines, and beyond.

Cru High School

Our children, Journey (20), Harvest (17), and River (15), are currently involved in sharing the Gospel with high school students, connecting them with other believers on campus, and nurturing their faith through weekly Bible studies.

Journey started Cru High School at Lone Star High School in Frisco, TX when she was a junior there.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek." Romans 1:16 ESV

Women's Discipleship

Jenny is involved in engaging women in gospel conversations, inviting them to learn and live out biblical womanhood, and equipping them to reach other women for Christ.

Her background as an RN also provides her a special connection with the medical community, allowing her the opportunity to host and facilitate weekly discipleship meetings with nurses, and help mobilize them for health care missions.

Medical Mission in the Philippines
Vision and Mobility Clinic in Zambia
Partnering with other Christian health and medical mission organizations in building a network of nurses equipped in providing spiritual care for their families, co-workers, and patients
And he said to them, 'Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.'" Matthew 4:19 ESV

Ronnie is involved in leveraging sustainable urban farming methods, such as aquaponics, to help increase the Body of Christ's capacity in showing the love of God by word and deed as we partner with pastors, church planters, and other missionaries in reaching neighborhoods and communities for Christ, locally and overseas. Aquaponics is a type of urban farming that raises fish and grows vegetables in one connecting environment.

Our own backyard aquaponics system provides food that we can eat and share with friends and neighbors as we pursue to build and grow our relationship with them.
Along with some of our local ministry partners in Dallas who are involved in aquaponics, we hope to grow our network of local urban farmers who will join us in sharing this farming technology to church planters, pastors and missionaries overseas.
We seek to collaborate with churches in the Philippines in providing training for gospel and farming integration to meet the spiritual and tangible needs of the communities we are reaching for Christ.
Our Dallas Team built an aquaponics system in an orphanage in Myanmar a few years ago. The system continues to provide food for the children to this day.

Look for our videos at the bottom of our web page to know more about how aquaponics and medical missions have been helpful in meeting the tangible needs of the communities we are reaching for Christ.

Then Jesus said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.'” Matthew 9:37-38 ESV

We know that we can't do this alone.

Your partnership is vital and we would like to invite you to prayerfully consider making an investment in furthering the advancement of the Gospel by joining our outreach as a ministry partner in these three crucial ways.

Prayers

Will you partner with us by regularly lifting up this work to God's Throne of Grace?

Finances

Like many mission organizations, Cru has no central funds for paying salaries and ministry expenses of its missionaries.

Cru depends on the consistent financial support of concerned individuals and churches.

These contributions are used to fund the ministries of our staff members.

In order to do this work, we must find a team of partners that will invest $100 monthly or some other amount to support our ministry.

Will you partner with us by making a monthly contribution commitment of $100 or some other amount?

Connections

Will you partner with us by introducing us to others that might also want to hear about this work?

Perhaps folks from your church? Small group? Sunday School? Family members? New followers of Jesus? Young adults getting started in life? Neighbors? Co-workers?

This is our commitment to you as your partners in the Gospel.

To work diligently to touch lives and hearts for Jesus.

To regularly let you know what God is doing through this ministry so we can pray and praise God together.

To be financially faithful with the funds given for our ministry.

To share prayer concerns with one with another.

Will you join us?

Thank you so much and may God richly bless you!

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.” Revelation 7:9-12 ESV
