The single loss varsity boys took on the West Ottawa Panthers in a first half shootout turned run away game Tuesday night. The final score was 63-42.
Junior Harrison Sorrelle is the main offensive facilitator and defensive lock-down. He always finds a way to make his mark in the game.
After a slow start from deep, the boys gained more confidence and used range to their advantage and began to feed the the hot hand.
Senior Bashir Neely took control of the game and put up 27 points. Most of them were from beyond the three-point line. "Coming into the game I knew it was going to be a tough game because nothing is promised in the OK-Red," Neely said. "Both ends started slow and as it went on I found my rhythm and it kept me going."
Rebounding was the name of the game this time around. The boys gained control of offensive and defensive rebounds leaving possessions unanswered for the opposing team.
The boys are looking to keep their hot streak going to start the second half of their season. Their confidence is growing every game they play.
