Conducted extensive outreach and provided support for the study, in coordination with Caltrans District 5 and the County.

- Prepared and approved the 2022 Regional Transportation Improvement Program (RTIP) to advance regionally-significant projects.
- Infused the 2021 Federal Transportation Improvement Program (FTIP) with an additional $41.5M for the SR 46 Cholame Segment.
Community Betterments Grant Program
February-April 2022
Created the Community Betterment Grant Program to offer financial support for small scale community-level infrastructure improvements that advance the sustainable transportation goals set by SLOCOG and its member agencies.
Over $7 million was available to eligible project applicants.
2023 Regional Transportation Plan
Advanced and approved chapters and associated materials needed for the 2023 Regional Transportation Plan, continued public engagement through five surveys, two online tools, and regular meetings of the 2023 RTP Steering Committee, and developed survey results.
Coast Rail Corridor Study
Adopted, August 2021
Equity Assessment
A review of organizational practices and select plans provided SLOCOG with recommendations for improvement.

Senior Go! Service Expansion
Expanded Senior Go! service hours so that they start at 7am during the week instead of 9am, and added Saturdays to the schedule, from 10am - 3pm.
FTA Section 5310 Grant Received
SLOCOG was awarded a $375K Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5310 grant to expand Rideshare's Know How to Go outreach program for seniors and people with disabilities.

Earth Day
Produced and promoted an Earth Day panel and discussion on sustainable mobility and tourism, with multiple SLOCOG staff serving as panelists. The event supported SLOCOG’s Active Transportation Partnership Program, provided an opportunity to convene a discussion about active tourism issues impacting the SLO region, and provided an opportunity for community members to ask questions and share stories on related topics.

Regional Housing & Infrastructure Plan
In 2022, SLOCOG partnered with the County of San Luis Obispo to create the Regional Housing & Infrastructure Plan (HIP). The HIP is a collaborative approach between the eight jurisdictions will establish a focused strategy to address the regional housing and infrastructure shortage. The plan is also linked to the regional Broadband Action Plan.
