BRAND REFRESH WISCONSIN INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE

MADISON, WI - The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) is excited to announce a refreshed brand identity that honors its over 100-year legacy and confidently looks forward to the future. To shape the updated identity, a full range of conference stakeholders participated in a collaborative creative process guided by New Jersey-based Skye Design Studios (SDS), a national leader in sport branding.

“Our member institutions are excited for the refresh of the conference logo that is more modern and contemporary. The logo preserves our original color scheme that is extremely identifiable for the most accomplished conference in NCAA Division III history. We are thrilled to reveal sport-specific logos, as well as co-branded marks, and I would like to thank our Branding Committee for its insight throughout this process. Additionally, I would like to acknowledge Skye Design Studios for their outstanding service and leadership in making our vision a reality.”

A MODERN CLASSIC

A depth of positive brand equity existed with the previous conference logo. Likewise, the objective of this endeavor was to create a clean update to that classic mark, leveraging the same layout, elements, and colors but enhanced to align with a more streamlined style.

OUR BRAND STORY

1 | UNITED THROUGHOUT WISCONSIN - Full-time conference membership share the bond of being based in Wisconsin.

2 | ROOTED IN TRADITION - The conference legacy spans over 100 years, with the WIAC initials and red, white, and blue color scheme being synonymous with one of the most elite collegiate athletics experiences within Division III.

3 | EXCELLENCE IN ACTION - The refreshed conference marks move boldly forward, a tribute to the Wisconsin state motto and future aspirations of the league. This phrase will also now function as the conference tagline.

SPORT-SPECIFIC LOGOS

The refreshed identity includes a suite of sport-specific logos, enhancing flexibility and customization for related conference touchpoints.

CO-BRANDED MARKS

WIAC full-time membership is the heartbeat of the conference. A key feature in the refreshed identity are co-branded marks rendered in each institution’s colors.

The initials 'WIAC' speak for themselves within Division III athletics. Our solution was simple - make a premier brand better.
