Mascaro has a lot in the works for 2020, from continuing to educate the public on opportunities in the construction industry to projects rising out of the ground. And let's not forget the things we always hold dear: our employees, their families, and our community.

With the increased need for skilled personnel, Mascaro will continue to promote the job opportunities available in the construction industry. We are involved in several programs to present various career paths that students can take to achieve a fulfilling career in construction. We are also engaging educators so that they can understand the skills needed for these careers.

We will continue to attend career fairs and with the opening of JA Biztown, we hope to extend our reach through the Mascaro storefront.
The Mascaro Construction Academy continues to prepare local high school graduates for construction work at Community College of Beaver County.
Several projects are currently in preconstruction or under construction.
UPMC Mercy Vision and Rehabilitation Hospital
The new UPMC Mercy Vision and Rehabilitation Hospital will offer advanced vision care, and physical medicine and rehabilitation services when opened in 2022. The facility will also include approximately 442,000 square feet of lab and research space, as well as outpatient clinical labs and surgery suites. Additionally, an art gallery and exhibit space are included in the design for the education and enjoyment of the patients and their families. A parking garage below and adjacent to the new tower is included in the project scope of work.
Harrisburg Federal Courthouse
Construction continues at the new 243,000-square-foot courthouse. It will house five district courtrooms, two magistrate courtrooms, one bankruptcy courtroom, as well as judge’s chambers, jury deliberation facilities, jury assembly, grand jury suites, holding cells, and other associated supporting spaces.
CMU TCS Hall
The building, with a one level parking garage, is a steel structure set upon caissons with grade beams and concrete retaining walls along the base of the building. The skin of the building is brick with a structural stud and sheathing back-up, along with punched windows and curtainwall with metal panels.
The facility will be made up of mostly office areas with lab space for the mechanical engineering group.
