Recruitment posters were used to persuade citizens to sign up for the war after the bombing at Pearl Harbor, this is an example of one that was supposed to spur up resent for what happened.

Political Cartoons were used to express the strategies and events of the war. This cartoon represents the mobilization of US troops to Europe..
Back in America, people weren't allowed to get gas if they had more than five tires for their car. In order to make planes, trucks, and ships the military needed rubber and they were able to use the tire from people's cars. Women often times were the ones who would check tire pressure and the number of tires before allowing someone to fill their car with gas.
Ration books were used so the government could keep track of what people were eating. People couldn't buy food without their ration book. The food they didn't eat would then be used to feed the troops overseas.
This Map represents the Second Great Migration, which was the migration of more than five million African Americans from the he north, Midwest, and west. This specific event took place in 1941, through World War 2, and lasted until 1970.
The internment of Japanese Americans in the United States was the forced relocation and incarceration during World War II of between 110,000 and 120,000 people of Japanese ancestry who lived on the Pacific coast in camps in the interior of the country. Sixty-two percent of the internees were United States citizens.
