Ryerson & Adobe Executive Briefing - Customer Experience Center

The value of technology in the future state of scholarship, collaboration, research, and innovation.

"Thus far, the main role of technology in the classroom has been to stream content and to reinforce the professor at the front of the room as a transmitter of content...the really interesting and important applications of technology are not to improve the consumption of content, but rather to enable and empower the creation of content--that is a fundamental crossroads for technology moving forward." - Tony Wagner, Expert In Residence at Harvard University’s new Innovation Lab and as a Senior Research Fellow at the Learning Policy Institute

While Adobe has a long history supporting education, a number of high profile institutions have chosen to make strategic investments to improve student outcomes with digital skills.

Some schools are leading the way by architecting a culture of innovation and creativity across all aspects of their institution. Infusing Adobe tools and skills in curriculum, research, athletics, student life, and faculty development.

As a leader in education, this partnership can have wide ranging impact on Ryerson's ability to attract and retain students, both domestically and abroad. As other educators work diligently to improve student engagement, adapt to new technologies, and foster critically needed skills, our goal would be for this partnership to become a showcase for incorporating digital skills in today's learning environment
