Milwaukie Bay Park Project Refined Design

The park is a place to welcome all – for gathering, rest, play, and connection with nature and the river. It is a scenic and recreational riverfront featuring: nature-based playground, amphitheater with stage, gathering areas, interactive water feature, picnicking areas, restrooms, native plantings, public art, views, pathways, and a new section of the six-mile regional Trolley Trail. The free-flowing park design takes its shape from the gradual waving forms of the river’s movement, creating meandering pathways and spaces that indirectly take visitors from the upper bank to the river’s edge.
