MBriefs Byte Sized Benefits | JULY 2022 Edition

Making a Connection

Connecting with someone can make them feel comfortable. Sometimes it can actually save their life or less dramatic, possibly put them at ease in a new job. Our July MBriefs share these two different approaches to making a connection. Consider This: an easy way to get to know your new employees by playing games. More dramatically, Word on the Street there was a dying man who now connects with his cardiologist remotely, giving him the freedom to continue his life. Today’s technology is proving you don’t have physically touch to connect.

Rumor Has It…But Details to Come

Playing a Game to Meet New Employees

One of the most important attributes for an employee to stay with your company is to make them feel welcomed, and that they belong. Your new employees may have an amazing skill set, but if they don’t feel comfortable at work, they will move along. Don’t worry about teaching the business just yet, have them connect with fellow employees by playing a game as part of your onboarding process.

The Real Stuff You Need to Know

A Heart Felt Connection

As reported in 2017 by Heart.org, there were over 100,000 people sick enough to be put on the heart transplant list, but only 3% of those people received a donated heart. Transplants cannot be our only option. Word on the street is that there's an innovative way for your cardiologist to connect with your heart. Due to other health issues, Donald Cortner was taken off the transplant list, but thankfully technology stepped in to give his heart a beating chance. We are excited to learn and share more of this technology.
