How to Draw When You Can't Draw
Joel shared with us how he engages with students who are not excited about doing art by pitching it at their level.
Joel mirrored Fresco on his computer for us, and added a transparent layer above an image to provide a starting point for the student to work with. See below how he used the transparent layers just like putting some tracing paper over a picture you like (perhaps I am showing my age :D )!
The undo and erasers in Fresco are game-changers for students who may be intimidated by making mistakes when using physical media.
Joel then started adding colour using another layer, separate from the line drawing. This way, mistakes are easily modified in a non-destructive way!
See how Joel is building the layers so that students can make non-destructive additions to their projects.
