Chippenham Borough Lands
Brilliant news! We’ve been awarded £3367 from Chippenham Borough Lands for library resources. This will ensure that we can add an amazing selection of books to our library and engage children in their reading even more!
Running Track
We are delighted to say that we will soon be building a 200 metre running track around the perimeter of the field. The track will be constructed from a bonded rubber mulch and will provide a wonderful facility for the children to use. Huge thanks to FOMPs for contributing £10000 to this new project. As soon as we know construction dates we will let you know.
White Boards
Please can we ask for any Whiteboards still at home after lock down, to be returned to the class teachers next week. Thank you
Asymptomatic Testing
NHS Test and Trace announced last week, that all adults in households with school and college age children without symptoms can now access regular rapid coronavirus (COVID-19) testing.
Undertaking regular, rapid coronavirus (COVID-19) testing helps reduce transmission of the virus.
Tests are fast, easy and completely free. There are different ways for a household, childcare or support bubble to collect their test to take at home, twice-weekly:
• through your employer, if they offer testing to employees
• by collecting a home test kit from a local test site – anyone aged 18 or over can collect 2 packs of 7 tests
• by ordering a home test kit online – please do not order online if you can access testing through other routes, this frees up home delivery for those who need it most
Children of primary school age (and below) without symptoms are not being asked to take a test.
Many thanks
COVID 19 - What to do if your child has suspected symptoms
Please ensure children do not come into school if they have a new, continuous cough or a high temperature, or has a loss of, or change in, their normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia).
If anyone in the school becomes unwell with a new, continuous cough or a high temperature, or has a loss of, or change in, their normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia), they must be sent home.
You must follow ‘stay at home: guidance for households with possible or confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19), which sets out that they must self-isolate for at least 10 days and should arrange to have a test to see if they have coronavirus (COVID-19). Other members of their household (including any siblings) should self-isolate for 10 days from when the symptomatic person first had symptoms.
