Members of the local media and entertainment community are invited to help box food and create awareness for the LA Food Bank's ever-increasing need for volunteers and donations.
Former Media Day volunteers include actor Ajay Mehta (Royal Pains) and Kathy Joosten (Desperate Housewives, The West Wing)
About 680 agencies partner with the Food Bank to distribute food to hungry people in L.A. County.
Volunteers are needed to help sort, inspect, and repackage donated food items from local food drives.
Why is volunteering at the Los Angeles Food Bank important? Because 1 in 6 people in L.A. County experiences hunger.
Hunger affects young and old alike. Due to the rising cost of living, even families with two incomes often can't make ends meet or put enough food on the table.
